HELP: Specifies which information should be shown and if processing [ALL] TYPE: NUMBER SYNTAX: SHOW/SH=ALL/DIR/ATTRIBUTE/ERROR/NONE
This parameter specifies which information should be shown in the FLAM control protocol.
This parameter corresponds to parameter INFO.
This parameter controls the information output by FLAM. You can choose between detailed information (all), error messages and warnings either with or without statistics (error or statistics) and no information (none).
During the decompression procedure, you can decide just to show the
information about the original file, without creating a decompressed
file. Use show=attributes
to do so.
If the FLAMFILE contains compressed versions of several files, the information about each of the original files is shown one file at a time. However, this information is only shown, if this was specified when the files were compressed into the FLAMFILE (see parameter ATTRIBUTES).
If -show=attributes
is specified, parameter FLAMOUT
is ignored.
Syntax restrictions for FLAMv4 or older:
SHOW=ALL/NONE/ATTRIBUT/ERROR/DIR
SH=ALL/NONE/ATTRIBUT/ERROR/DIR

show=none/all/attributes/error/statistics
sh=none/all/attributes/error/statistics
ALL
- All messages and statistics - generate and display.NONE
- Don't display messages.ATTRIBUT
- Display the parameters for compression or decompression
but do not execute processing.ERROR
- Display error messages and end-of-program message only.DIR
- The names of all files (and their attributes) that are to be
processed are listed.none
- No information is shown.all
- All the available information is shown. This depends on the
invoked operation (compress or decompress), but not on whether
FLAM was invoked directly or using the parameter file.

was
specified when it was compressed).error
- Only error messages and warnings are shown.statistics
- Error messages, warnings and the following statistics are

is specified, on the other
hand, the FLAM messages are written into a file, but
system messages continue to be displayed on the screen.none
- no display.all
- Shows all of the information available. The information
depends on the invoked operation, compression or decompression,
but not on the circumstance if FLAM was called directly or with a
parameter file.attributes
- decompression onlyattributes=all
)error
- only shows error and warning messages.statistics
- shows error and warning messages plus the
number of compressed records.ALL - Print messages and statistics (default)
