Dear new FLAM-user,


our 'old' users are able to install a new FLAM version without a tape or cartrigde. They receive a compressed file (called FLAMFILE) (e.g. via FTP) and decompress all data with the installed FLAM version. 
So we avoide any incompatibilities of used tapes or cartridges.

To make it as comfortable as for our old user, please follow these instructions:


Transfer the file INSTFLAM.TSO on to the host (binary, fix 80, any block size (e.g. 3200) and type in TSO dialog:

RECEIVE INDSN(INSTFLAM.TSO)

you are asked for parameter, e.g.

DA(INSTFLAM.LOAD)

then a program library is restored (look at the example 'receive.log' in this directory).

Transfer the file 

FLAM/UPLOAD/FLAMV43A.ADC 

on to the host (binary, fix 512, any block size) and enter in TSO:

CALL INSTFLAM(INSTFLAM) 'hlq.flamv43a.adc'

Don't forget the high level qualifier in the name, all data will be extracted with this qualifier !

You can use a batch job as well, if required:

//step  EXEC PGM=INSTFLAM,PARM='hlq.FLAMV43A.ADC'
//STEPLIB  DD DSN=hlq.INSTFLAM.LOAD,DISP=SHR

Please look at the example job protocol 'install.log' in this directory.

To license FLAM, please use the job FLAMV43A.JOBLIB(INST01).
